Projects
Turbofan Engine Design & Analysis
Conceptualized and designed a high bypass turbofan engine using CATIA V5
Analyzed using both LS-DYNA and ANSYS Explicit Dynamics to study foreign object damage to fan blades
Nozzle Camera Bracket - Mech Solutions
Designed a camera bracket that holds the camera to provide a clear computer vision
Designed using SolidWorks and prototyped by 3D printingÂ
Measured each components to within 0.05" to ensure proper fit
Iterated and validated the design through FSI analysis to withstand the flow heat exerted by the printer hotend and downward force appied by the camera
improved the image capture quality and live failure detection by 11%
Pedal Box Sliding Mechanism Rails - Waterloo Formula Electric
The WFE vehicle, the seating cannot be adjusted and thus, the pedal box itself has to slide up and down based on the driver's height
Designed two pedal box sliding mechanism rails using SolidWorks and Prototyped by 3D printing
Validated to withstand over 2000N of continual force using SolidWorks FEA
A quick release pin was used to allow a quick disassemble Reduced time required to disassemble the pedal box from the chassis by up to 90%
Designed a Jug Tap Adaptor that is suited for oil transfer
Designed using OpenSCAD and prototyped in PETG filament for better chemical resistance
Partnered with Proto3000 to manufacture with SLS printers with vapour smoothing which enhanced mechanical performance via vaporized solvents
